Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Medication Technician (Med Tech) to join our assisted living team. The Med Tech is responsible for administering medications to residents in accordance with physician orders, state regulations, and facility policies, while promoting resident dignity, safety, and quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments to residents accurately and on time
     
  • Follow proper medication administration procedures and documentation requirements
     
  • Observe residents for medication effects and report changes or concerns to nursing staff
     
  • Maintain medication carts, storage areas, and records in a clean and organized manner
     
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
     
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, nurses, and other team members
     
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations, safety guidelines, and infection control policies
     
  • Respond promptly to resident needs and emergencies
     
  • Support a positive, respectful, and team-oriented environment
     
Qualifications
  • Current Medication Technician certification (as required by state regulations)
     
  • High school diploma or equivalent
     
  • Prior experience in assisted living, long-term care, or healthcare preferred
     
  • Knowledge of medication administration and documentation practices
     
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
     
  • Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor
     
  • Reliable attendance and strong time-management skills

  • Ability to push medication carts and assist residents as needed
