Position Summary:
The Analytics Developer is responsible for the design, development, programming, and maintenance of Information Technology solutions supporting Customer Experience and analytics applications. This role focuses on developing scalable, data-driven solutions using Python and R, handling large volumes of data, and integrating systems through RESTful APIs while ensuring compliance with IT controls and SDLC standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, code, test, and maintain analytics and application solutions using Python and R
- Process and manage large-volume datasets efficiently
- Develop, process, and schedule batch jobs using Python
- Build and consume RESTful APIs
- Conduct unit testing, peer code reviews, and performance testing
- Create and maintain detailed system and technical documentation
- Evaluate third-party tools and libraries to meet business and technical requirements
- Implement IT Controls to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data
- Follow SDLC, release procedures, and change management processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
- Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively
- Independently manage tasks and demonstrate ownership of deliverables
- Adapt to evolving technologies and business requirements
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of professional experience in Python and R development
- 3+ years of experience with SQL and Stored Procedures (SQL Server, DB2/Netezza preferred)
- Strong experience handling large-scale datasets
- Demonstrated experience working with REST APIs using Python
- Experience with batch processing and job scheduling
- Solid understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Experience with unit testing, coding standards, documentation, and change management
- Strong analytical, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Visio
- LinkedIn profile and resume must match, and candidates must be able to clearly articulate their experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Domain experience in Healthcare (highly preferred)
- Additional experience in Banking or Financial Services
- Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies
