Floor Assistant

Pay: Starting at $17.00/hour + tips
Location: Nep Cafe-Irvine, CA
Status: Part-time

The Floor Assistant supports daily restaurant operations by assisting guests, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring tables are properly cleared and reset. This role helps create a welcoming and efficient dining experience for all guests.

• Clear used tableware between courses and reset tables for the next seating
• Remove dishes, glassware, and silverware and place items in designated dish areas
• Clean and reset tables, chairs, booths, and floors between seatings
• Assist with food delivery and beverage refills as needed
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests
• Thank guests as they depart
• Support smooth restaurant operations by assisting where needed
• Attend scheduled staff meetings and share improvement suggestions
• Assist with food preparation when necessary
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

• Food Handler Card (training provided if needed)
• Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification (if required)
• 6 months to 1 year of experience in a similar role preferred
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to carry and serve hot dishes (up to 210°F)
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Attention to detail and adherence to sanitation standards
• Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
