About

The qualified candidate will provide leadership and guidance in all aspects of assigned projects.  The individual will lead the day-to-day aspects of the project execution, and participate in its development, execution, and final close out.  This will include the administration of assigned TLS personnel as well as contracted subconsultants/subcontractors and other vendors as necessary.

 This position will require 100% site travel as the CM is expected to be a site leader and will be providing daily management of the construction site.  This position is a month assignment at the VAMC in Danville, IL.  Future assignments will be contract specific and negotiable at the time of conclusion of the current project.

 We are seeking an experienced Project Manager who possesses a preferred background in general construction. An emphasis on plumbing experience is a plus.

 Main Duties

  • Lead the fulfillment of all required contract obligations as listed in the agreement entered into by TLS with its client(s).
  • Oversee the subcontractor/vendor relationships entered into by TLS on behalf of the individuals assigned contracts.
  • Assure all company and client safety protocols are being followed, addressing deficiencies promptly and providing additional guidance as needed.
  • Provide proper fiscal management in all aspects in the execution of the project.  This will include oversight of project budget, client billing as well as payments to subs and vendors.
  • Provide proper administration of the project schedule for the successful execution and completion of the project.

Position Goals

  • Meeting all predetermined milestones of the prescribed project(s)
  • Achieving a positive cash flow throughout the project(s) life cycle
  • Effective management of all staff, to include compliance with all administrative project deadlines.
  • Achieving a proactive safety rating on all aspects of project execution
  • Completing all Quality Control Program requirements
  • Effective management of Contract Documents, including timely filing of all project related reports and guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  1. 5+ years of project management experience with individual projects in excess of $5M
  2. 5+ years of effective subconsultant management experience, including contract negotiation and contract management.
  3. 5+ years of personnel management experience
  4. 5+ years of project budget management
  5. 5+ years of project schedule management (including the use of MS Project)
  6. Ability to site travel up to 100% of the time (this is not a remote position)
  7. The ability to review plans/specs and contract documents for scope of work compliance, quality control, formal training in these areas is desirable.
  8. An OSHA 30 (or higher) Certificate issued in the past 4 years.  (Or the willingness to immediately obtain this)
  9. Proficiency with MS Project
  10. Proficiency in MS office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  11. Ability to demonstrate a professional level of verbal and written communication skills. 

Desired Qualifications

  1. 5+ years of Healthcare Construction experience
  2. Proficiency in Procore Contract Management Software
  3. Knowledge/experience with ICRA, hazard analysis
  4. Practical experience working with FAR based contracts for the US Federal Government
  5. An understanding of applying TIL and other federal standards to projects.
