BAS Controls Engineer
Location:
Fort Lauderdale, FL
A well-established building automation and energy solutions provider is seeking a
BAS Controls Engineer
to support commercial and mission-critical projects across South Florida. This role offers the opportunity to work on technically complex systems while being involved across the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineer, program, and commission Building Automation Systems for HVAC and integrated controls
- Develop and modify control logic, sequences of operation, and graphics
- Perform system integration, testing, and commissioning activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, and network-related issues
- Support project delivery teams and provide technical expertise during installation and handover
- Assist with system upgrades, retrofits, and client support as required
Required Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with
Honeywell
BMS platforms (e.g. EBI, WEBs, or similar) - Proven experience working with
Distech Controls
(EC-BOS, ECY controllers, graphics, and programming) - Solid understanding of HVAC systems and control strategies
- Experience with BACnet and other common BMS communication protocols
- Ability to read and interpret control drawings, schematics, and specifications
Desired Skills & Qualifications
- Background in BAS / Controls Engineering within commercial buildings
- Commissioning and troubleshooting experience in live environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a project team
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally when required
