We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Material Handler to join our dynamic team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement and organization of goods within our warehouse. This position is vital to our overall logistics operations, ensuring that products are received, stored, and dispatched accurately and on time. You will be responsible for operating various material handling equipment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and adhering to strict safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and arrange materials in a safe and organized manner.
- Perform regular equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a warehouse or material handling environment. Must be comfortable with physical labor, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds. A strong commitment to Safety is paramount. Excellent teamwork and communication skills are essential. Experience with forklifts or other powered industrial trucks is a plus.
