Job Summary:
We are hiring a dedicated Material Handler for our bustling distribution center in Kansas City, Missouri. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting our warehouse operations by managing the flow of materials throughout the facility. Your responsibilities will include loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory to and from storage areas, operating pallet jacks and other material handling equipment, and assisting with order picking and packing. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. You must consistently follow all safety procedures and wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, and other transport vehicles.
  • Use pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other equipment to move inventory.
  • Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in designated storage areas.
  • Assist in picking and packing customer orders as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
  • Identify and report any damaged goods or safety hazards.
  • Participate in inventory counts and stock checks.
  • Support other warehouse functions as directed.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
  • Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to following safety guidelines and utilizing PPE.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
