Join our team as a Material Handler in San Jose, California! We are seeking energetic and reliable individuals to manage the movement of materials within our warehouse. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that products are efficiently transported from receiving to storage and then to shipping. As a Material Handler, you will operate various equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, to move, stack, and unstack goods. You will be responsible for picking and packing orders, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining an organized and safe work environment. Accuracy and attention to detail are crucial for this position. You will work closely with inventory control and shipping departments to ensure smooth operations. Daily tasks include replenishing stock, transporting materials, and assisting with inventory counts. A strong commitment to safety is paramount; you must follow all company policies, including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and correct lifting techniques. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks, including significant lifting. We foster a collaborative atmosphere where teamwork is highly valued. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Move, stack, and unstack materials within the warehouse.
- Pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including PPE requirements.
- Perform lifting tasks as required, often exceeding 50 lbs.
- Support logistics team in daily operations.
- Communicate any equipment issues or safety concerns promptly.
