Join our dedicated warehouse team in Boston, Massachusetts as a Picker/Packer. This role is fundamental to our daily operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately assembled and prepared for shipment. You will be responsible for efficiently retrieving items from warehouse locations, carefully packing them according to order specifications, and ensuring they are ready for dispatch. Success in this position requires excellent attention to detail, the ability to work quickly and accurately in a dynamic environment, and a commitment to upholding our high standards for quality and safety. You will play a key part in our logistics chain, directly impacting customer satisfaction. We emphasize a safe working environment, requiring adherence to all safety protocols and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Your contribution ensures the smooth flow of products through our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from assigned warehouse locations using order lists or scanning devices.
- Pack products securely and efficiently, ensuring correct items and quantities are included in each order.
- Verify order details against products being picked and packed.
- Prepare packages for shipment, including labeling and staging.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Meet established productivity and accuracy targets.
- Collaborate with team members to support overall warehouse goals.
- Report any issues with products, equipment, or safety to supervisors promptly.
- Participate in cycle counts and inventory checks as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, picking, or packing role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Understanding of basic warehouse logistics.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Awareness of safety best practices and the importance of PPE.
