We are looking for a skilled Material Handler to manage the movement of goods within our busy facility in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This role is fundamental to our warehouse operations, ensuring that materials are moved efficiently and safely from receiving to storage and throughout the picking and packing processes. You will operate various types of material handling equipment, maintaining a high level of productivity and accuracy. This position requires physical stamina, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a team. Our logistics operations depend on the reliable performance of our material handlers. Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and stage materials for various warehouse functions.
- Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment.
- Transport materials within the facility using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery.
- Organize and maintain inventory stock in designated areas.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory verification.
- Ensure materials are handled and stored according to safety protocols.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on material handling equipment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth workflow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Certification and experience operating forklifts and other relevant equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 60 pounds) and other physical tasks.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with logistics operations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
