This role is central to our operations, involving the accurate retrieval and careful packaging of products for shipment to our valued customers. Responsibilities:
- Select correct items from warehouse inventory based on order tickets, utilizing RF scanners.
- Ensure the accuracy of picked items and check for any damage.
- Package items securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate shipping materials.
- Apply shipping labels correctly and prepare orders for dispatch.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the picking and packing stations.
- Participate in inventory management activities, including cycle counts.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE.
- Meet established targets for productivity and accuracy in picking and packing.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to supervision.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a picking, packing, or general warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for entire shifts.
- Capability of lifting items up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
- A commitment to following all safety protocols and utilizing required PPE.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles is an advantage.
