Job Summary:
We are hiring a Receiving Clerk for our bustling warehouse in Madison, Wisconsin. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring that all goods are accurately accounted for and processed efficiently. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for inspecting, documenting, and organizing all deliveries, playing a key part in our logistics chain. This position requires a keen eye for detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining an orderly warehouse. The ideal candidate is reliable, punctual, and possesses strong administrative abilities. You will work collaboratively with other warehouse staff to ensure a smooth flow of goods and maintain accurate inventory records. Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments.
  • Verify delivery contents against purchase orders and shipping documents.
  • Document all discrepancies and damages.
  • Enter receiving data into the inventory management system.
  • Organize and store received goods in designated areas.
  • Communicate with suppliers and internal departments regarding deliveries.
  • Maintain a clean and safe receiving area.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, including the use of PPE.
  • Support other warehouse functions as needed.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in receiving, inventory, or warehouse operations is preferred.
  • Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
  • Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to perform moderate lifting (up to 30 pounds).
  • Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control principles.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and the use of PPE.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
