Job Summary
The Employee Communications Senior Manager (Contractor) will lead high-visibility internal communications efforts focused on Client sustainability agenda and CLient Foundation initiatives. This role serves as a cross-functional partner and strategic storyteller, helping to engage associates globally with compelling internal content and campaigns that highlight social impact, innovation, and sustainability efforts. The role requires an agile communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, global environment and is passionate about social responsibility and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Client + Sustainability & Innovation Communications
  • Partner with Sustainability, R&D, PPGA, and Global Communications teams to build and execute communications strategies that highlight Client + outcomes.
  • Lead employee communications and storytelling related to sustainability and innovation initiatives.
  • Plan and manage content across global internal channels to elevate awareness of Client + programs (e.g., agriculture, climate, packaging, water).
  • Modify key messages for associate-facing platforms and ensure alignment with corporate tone and strategic direction.
  • Amplify executive and thought leader content internally, supporting visibility strategies for the Chief Sustainability Officer.
  • Support development and execution of internal Client + events and global town halls.
  • Contribute to the editorial planning process through the Client + community of practice.

  • Cleint Foundation & Social Impact Communications
  • Work closely with the Foundation and Social Impact teams to develop internal communications strategies that promote community initiatives and employee engagement.
  • Create and manage associate messaging for key Foundation programs (e.g., scholarships, Move for Good, volunteering).
  • Amplify executive messaging for the Vice President, Client Foundation.
  • Align with content and external communications teams to deliver integrated campaigns that inspire employee participation in social impact efforts.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution
  • Collaborate with content teams, corporate social/digital leads, regional communications partners, and global COEs to ensure message consistency and asset alignment.
  • Develop and distribute toolkits, playbooks, and resources to regional and global communications teams.
  • Create dashboards and performance measurement tools to evaluate engagement and campaign effectiveness.
  • Take on additional tasks as needed to support the delivery of effective internal communications.

  • Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in internal communications, PR, or marketing, preferably in a large, matrixed organization.
  • Experience working with or managing agencies.
  • Background in social impact, foundations, sustainability, or corporate responsibility.
  • Knowledge of science-based or innovation-driven industries, including food and beverage or R&D-focused environments.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt messaging for varied audiences in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills with executive-level presence.
  • Strategic thinker with strong judgment and cultural awareness.

  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience supporting executive communications or internal thought leadership content.
  • Familiarity with issues facing global food and beverage companies through a sustainability or innovation lens.
