The Opportunity
Solar Turbines is looking for a Senior Human Resources Manager in San Diego, CA. This Senior Human Resources Manager role supports two key businesses - Oil & Gas and Power Generation - totaling approximately 2500 global employees in roles from sales to marketing to operations. We're looking for a strong HR leader who can partner with senior business and HR leaders to drive our business strategy and enhance our culture and employee experience.
What You Will Do
• Serve as a strategic advisor, collaborating with senior management to identify and prioritize HR initiatives that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
• Align HR policies and programs which promote a positive employee experience, retention and performance.
• Act as a trusted coach, providing guidance to leaders and managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, compensation and benefits, etc.
• Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends and opportunities and provide data-driven recommendations to senior management.
• Lead a team of HR leaders to collaborate effectively with other centers of excellence and serve as thought leaders to the business and HR.
• Develop and implement change management methods and materials to facilitate deployment of HR programs and processes within a specific organization.
What You Have
• Business Acumen: Extensive knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
• Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Extensive knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
• Influencing: Extensive knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
• Leadership: Proven ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there.
• Talent Management: Expert level knowledge of how an organization attracts, recruits, retains, identifies and develops talent; ability to develop the talent required for an organization to achieve its short-term and long-term goals.
• HR Consulting: Extensive knowledge of HR approaches, tools and techniques; ability to inform, guide and advise managers in HR-related initiatives
• Education: Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field or equivalent experience
Summary Pay Range:
$169,206.00 - $253,808.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
