Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and cooking tasks under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
• Handle food safely by following proper food handling and sanitation procedures
• Prepare ingredients, chop vegetables, and organize supplies to streamline meal production
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
• Support serving staff by delivering prepared dishes and replenishing supplies as needed
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
• Help with catering setups and cleanups for special events or large orders

Skills

• Proven experience in cooking, food preparation, or a related role within the food industry
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with culinary techniques
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and servers
• Previous restaurant or catering experience is highly desirable
• Basic understanding of kitchen equipment and cleaning protocols
