Prep Cook/Dishwasher

We are one of the Triangle's premier live music and full-service restaurant venues. Family-owned and operated, located in Downtown Durham, we offer delicious BBQ, Ribs, Burgers and other mouth-watering delights in a high volume, fun and exciting environment.

We are currently seeking a part time PM Prep-Cooks / Dishwashers to join our staff.

• Knife skills to assist with produce and other prep responsibilities.

Responsibilities

· Ability to prep some produce products

· Assist with portioning appetizers

· Cross train on the fryers to help the line when busy

· Operate industrial dishwasher

· Wash glassware and other implements by hand when necessary

· Empty and clean all trash receptacles

· Clean iced tea urns, and coffee pots daily

· Rotate dishes to reduce wear and tear on resources

· Clean dish storage areas and receptacles

· Follows sanitations policies at all times i.e., remove all labels from pots, pans & containers.

· Provide assistance to other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak times.

· Performing opening, closing duties i.e. mopping, scrubbing, sweeping etc. and other side work

· Clean up spills or broken glassware immediately

· Report any sanitation or janitorial issues to the appropriate party

· Clean kitchen equipment i.e. smokers, dish machine, walk-in cooler & freezer etc.

· Must be able to work varied hours, sometimes past midnight.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $13.00 per hour
