About
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot 5-axis milling and turning CNC programs.
- Lead and mentor a team of CNC programmers, providing technical guidance and training.
- Work with engineers and machinists to improve machining strategies, tool selection, and cycle times.
- Ensure programs meet quality, tolerance, and efficiency standards.
- Utilize CAD/CAM software (such as Mastercam) to create efficient machining programs.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to enhance workflow and resolve technical challenges.
- Evaluate and implement new tooling, fixturing, and machining techniques.
- Maintain documentation, including process sheets, setup instructions, and tooling lists.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in CNC machining and automation technologies.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of CNC programming experience, with a focus on 5-axis milling and turning.
- Proficiency in CAM software (Mastercam preferred).
- Strong knowledge of G-code, M-code, and post-processing.
- Experience with high-precision machining, GD&T, and complex geometries.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models.
- Familiarity with various materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, and exotic alloys.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with multi-tasking machines (e.g., Mazak Integrex, Okuma Multus, or DMG MORI NT series).
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and process optimization.
- Experience in aerospace, medical, or high-precision industries.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Pay Range: $36 - $50 per hour
