Barista

Job description:

1. Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.

2. Operate the Aloha POS or Micros POS systems for order processing and cash handling.

3. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.

4. Maintain cleanliness in the café area, including food preparation surfaces and equipment.

5. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.

6. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies.

7. Perform basic math calculations for transactions and ensure accurate cash handling during shifts.

8. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment while achieving sales goals.

Qualifications

1. Previous barista experience or experience in the food service industry is preferred.

2. Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on creating a friendly atmosphere.

3. Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage recipes is a plus.

4. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is advantageous.

Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently.

2. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

3. Must be able to follow food safety guidelines and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
