Job Description

CTL Aerospace has been a full-service providing services to the aerospace industry since 1946. CTL specializes in the of aircraft metal and composite components.

Quality Control Lead Engineer leads teams to ensure products meet standards by overseeing testing, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, and compliance, bridging technical quality with business goals through strong leadership, data analysis, and collaboration with R&D Operations, and Customers, managing staff, budgets, and strategic quality initiatives. Key duties involve directing quality control, implementing standards, managing supplier quality, driving process improvements and ensuring regulatory adherence to NADCAP and ISO.

Job Requirements

  • Technical Oversight: Guide design control, risk management (FMEA), testing strategies, and process improvements.

  • Process Improvement: Lead root cause analysis (RCCA) for failures, implement CAPAs, and drive continuous improvement (Kaizen).

  • Customer & Supplier Relations: Act as a liaison for quality issues, ensuring customer needs are met and supplier quality is maintained.

  • Compliance & Documentation: Ensure adherence to standards (ISO, FDA) and manage quality documentation, audits, and regulatory filings.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with R&D, Operations, Regulatory, Marketing, and Finance to align quality with business strategy.

Job Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Quality, etc.).

  • Experience: Significant experience (e.g., 8+ years total, 3+ in management) in quality, engineering, or manufacturing.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of quality methodologies, risk management, validation, testing, and relevant software/tools.

  • Leadership: Strategic thinking, problem-solving, mentoring, conflict resolution, and excellent communication.

  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with Aerospace industry regulations.

  • Able to work in a manufacturing environment.

  • US Citizen or Green Card holder
