Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Supervisor of Logistics to lead and optimize our supply chain operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the end-to-end management of logistics functions, including inventory control, warehouse distribution, transportation planning, and procurement activities. Your leadership will ensure seamless coordination across departments, enhance process efficiencies, and uphold the highest standards of safety and quality. Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily logistics operations, ensuring efficient movement of goods through warehousing, transportation, and distribution channels.
  • Oversee inventory management processes to maintain accurate stock levels, reduce waste, and optimize storage space using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems.
  • Coordinate transportation management activities, including freight scheduling, dispatching, fleet management, and compliance with transportation regulations.
  • Lead procurement and sourcing efforts to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards for materials and supplies.
  • Implement process improvements to streamline order fulfillment, shipping & receiving, materials handling, and packaging procedures.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PL), NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and other external partners to ensure reliable service delivery.
  • Utilize data analysis skills to monitor supply chain analytics, demand planning accuracy, and overall operational performance for continuous enhancement.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse experience, or operations management within a logistics environment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse distribution, transportation planning, and freight management.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management System (WMS), ERP systems such as AS400 or similar platforms, and transportation management systems (TMS).
  • Hands-on experience with category management, sourcing, procurement processes, and materials handling equipment such as forklifts.
  • Excellent data analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex logistics metrics and implement strategic improvements.
  • Ability to lead teams effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining safety standards and operational efficiency.
  • Relevant certifications in forklift operation or supply chain analytics are preferred but not mandatory. Pay: $ $34.15 per hour
