We have an exciting opportunity for an Order Picker in Durham, North Carolina. In this role, you will be a crucial part of our warehouse operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. Your primary responsibility will be to locate and retrieve specific items from our inventory based on digital or paper pick lists. This position requires a high level of focus, attention to detail, and physical stamina. You will work within a dynamic logistics environment, contributing to the smooth flow of goods through our facility. The Order Picker is essential for timely order processing, directly impacting customer satisfaction. You will utilize our warehouse management system (WMS) and RF scanners to navigate the facility and identify products. It's important to maintain a brisk pace while ensuring complete accuracy. This role also involves assisting with inventory checks and maintaining the tidiness of your picking area. Understanding of basic logistics is helpful. We insist on strict adherence to all Safety regulations and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Significant Lifting will be part of your daily tasks. Be prepared to move quickly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items according to order specifications using RF scanners or pick sheets.
- Verify product codes and quantities before confirming picks.
- Transport picked items to the designated staging or packing areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Participate in inventory management activities, such as cycle counting.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and wear appropriate PPE.
- Meet established performance metrics for picking speed and accuracy.
- Operate pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as needed.
