Are you detail-oriented and efficient? Our Richmond, Virginia facility is looking for a dedicated Picker/Packer to join our fast-paced logistics operations. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from inventory and preparing them for shipment, ensuring our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and Safety.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using scanning devices or pick lists.
- Inspect items for damage and ensure product quality before packing.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages accurately for shipment, ensuring all information is correct.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station to promote efficiency.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety guidelines and procedures, including the use of required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Operate hand trucks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding any order discrepancies or issues.
- Contribute to overall team goals in the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks involving manual dexterity.
- Must be able to handle moderate Lifting, up to 30 lbs regularly.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of basic warehouse Safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with inventory systems is a plus.
