About
Join our expanding logistics operation as a Forklift Operator in San Antonio, Texas. We are looking for skilled and safety-conscious individuals to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your expertise will ensure the efficient and safe movement of goods within our distribution center. This role is vital for maintaining optimal inventory levels and supporting the overall flow of products from receiving to shipping. You will be an integral part of our warehouse team, contributing to our reputation for reliable and timely service in the logistics sector. Prior experience operating various types of forklifts is required. We prioritize a safe and productive work environment for all our employees.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move pallets, loads, and other materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers according to established procedures.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and reporting any issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away, retrieval, and cycle counting.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety standards.
- Properly store materials to ensure accessibility and safety, adhering to warehouse layout and logistics principles.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Must be capable of heavy lifting and maneuvering palletized loads.
- Experience with both sit-down and stand-up forklifts is a plus.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Forklift Operator. Valid forklift certification or the ability to obtain one. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is beneficial. Ability to perform physical tasks including frequent lifting and bending. Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices in logistics. Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Must be reliable and punctual. A commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE is essential.
