We are looking for a reliable and experienced Material Handler to join our growing team in Omaha, Nebraska. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and retrieval of materials within our warehouse facility. Your work directly supports our overall logistics and supply chain efficiency. Key duties include operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, organizing inventory, and ensuring that materials are stored safely and securely. You will be expected to maintain a clean and orderly work environment, adhere to all safety regulations, and perform regular equipment checks to ensure operational readiness. This position is perfect for individuals who are physically capable, possess strong organizational skills, and are committed to workplace safety. Effective communication with supervisors and team members is essential for coordinating material flow and meeting production targets. Your contribution is key to the seamless operation of our warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments from trucks and trailers.
- Organize and stock materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Retrieve materials as needed for production or order fulfillment.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of material handling equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through diligent tracking and reporting.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Ensure the warehouse floor is kept clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Assist with shipping and receiving documentation as required.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 75 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Excellent knowledge of material handling equipment operations.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and using appropriate PPE.
