We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our state-of-the-art warehouse facility in Boise, Idaho. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse, including loading and unloading trucks, stocking inventory, and transporting goods to and from various production and shipping areas. This role is crucial to our logistics operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. Safety is our utmost priority, and all operators must adhere strictly to all safety regulations and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, as well as the ability to perform physical tasks. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers with incoming and outgoing freight.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated locations, ensuring stability and safety.
- Perform routine inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away and cycle counting.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient movement of goods.
- Follow all traffic and safety rules within the warehouse premises.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid forklift operator certification is mandatory.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices in logistics.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and awareness of surroundings.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and balance.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, such as safety vests and hard hats.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
