We are seeking a motivated Order Picker to join our fast-paced warehouse in Tampa, Florida. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is crucial to our logistics operations, ensuring that products reach our customers efficiently and correctly. You'll be working in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and speed are essential. We pride ourselves on our commitment to safety, and all team members are required to adhere to strict safety guidelines and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves significant physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting throughout your shift. Responsibilities:
- Locate and retrieve specified items from warehouse shelves accurately.
- Use handheld scanners or other devices to track picked items.
- Verify item numbers, quantities, and product details against order lists.
- Transport picked items to packing or staging areas.
- Report any discrepancies or damaged items to a supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Meet or exceed productivity and accuracy targets.
- Participate in team efforts to achieve operational goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Basic math skills for quantity verification.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift repeatedly.
- Must be able to perform lifting duties of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles is beneficial.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
