We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Material Handler to join our growing warehouse operations in Huntsville, Alabama. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload materials from trucks, verifying contents against shipping documents.
- Store materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
- Pick, stage, and prepare materials for outgoing shipments according to orders.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Report any damaged goods, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Follow all instructions and procedures related to warehouse logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics setting is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment is a plus.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
