Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Madison, Wisconsin. Responsibilities:
  • Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment.
  • Verify order details against items being shipped to ensure accuracy.
  • Generate shipping labels and prepare necessary documentation (e.g., Bills of Lading).
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
  • Load outgoing shipments onto trucks safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shipping work area, adhering to safety standards.
  • Conduct regular checks on shipping supplies and communicate replenishment needs.
  • Ensure all team members comply with safety regulations and the use of required PPE.
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to support overall logistics operations.
  • Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse role is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to perform consistent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Understanding of safe lifting techniques and general warehouse safety practices.
  • Willingness to wear appropriate PPE, such as safety vests and gloves, as required.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues within the logistics process.
