Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our bustling warehouse in Salt Lake City, Utah! As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve inventory. This role is fundamental to our daily operations, ensuring that goods are handled correctly and that our warehouse remains organized and productive. The ideal candidate will have a strong safety record, excellent attention to detail, and a proven ability to operate various types of forklifts. Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate sit-down, stand-up, and reach forklifts to move materials within the warehouse.
  • Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments with precision and care.
  • Stack products in designated areas, ensuring stability and adherence to storage plans.
  • Conduct pre-operation checks and routine maintenance on forklifts, reporting any issues.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and updating the WMS.
  • Strictly follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the mandatory use of PPE.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from hazards.
  • Assist other warehouse personnel with tasks as needed, contributing to overall logistics efficiency.
  • Identify and report any unsafe conditions or practices immediately.

Qualifications:
  • Valid forklift certification and a minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in operating multiple types of forklifts.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is highly preferred.
  • Ability to perform regular lifting of up to 50 lbs and other physical tasks.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial reasoning skills.
  • Commitment to wearing all required PPE and following safety protocols diligently.
  • Team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving in a logistics environment.
