Are you a skilled Forklift Operator looking for a new challenge in Las Vegas, Nevada? We are searching for experienced operators to join our bustling logistics center. Your primary responsibility will be the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. This role is essential for maintaining productivity and ensuring the smooth flow of goods from receiving to shipping. You will operate various types of forklifts, load and unload trucks, and transport inventory to designated areas. A commitment to safety, proficiency in operating forklifts, and the ability to handle materials effectively are key. This position involves regular lifting and demands strict adherence to safety protocols, including the consistent use of PPE. Join a team where safety and efficiency are top priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement of goods.
- Transport materials between different areas of the warehouse, such as receiving, storage, and shipping.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations, including traffic rules within the warehouse.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment as required.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock placement.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Use required PPE at all times, including safety shoes, vests, and hard hats when necessary.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately to management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator, with at least 1-2 years of recent experience.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proficiency in operating multiple types of forklifts.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent knowledge of safety standards and practices in a warehouse setting.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to using PPE and maintaining a safe work environment.
