Job Summary:
Our Minneapolis, Minnesota facility is looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to manage the inflow of goods. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting all incoming inventory. This position is vital for maintaining accurate stock levels and ensuring that the right products are available for our operations. You will interact with drivers, vendors, and internal teams, ensuring smooth and efficient receiving processes. A strong understanding of warehouse management systems and a commitment to safety are essential. This logistics position requires attention to detail, the ability to handle materials safely, and the use of appropriate PPE. Frequent lifting and movement are part of the daily routine, making physical capability a requirement.
Responsibilities:
  • Unload incoming shipments from trucks and trailers.
  • Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Tag and label all incoming inventory with appropriate identification.
  • Move received goods to designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
  • Ensure proper documentation is completed for all received items.
  • Communicate any receiving discrepancies or issues to supervisors and inventory control.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts and audits as required.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse receiving role is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using WMS or inventory tracking software.
  • Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
