We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our busy logistics facility in San Francisco, California. This role is essential for the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload materials, move products to and from storage areas, and assist with order picking and staging. A strong commitment to safety is paramount, requiring strict adherence to all operational guidelines, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe operating procedures. This position involves physical activity and requires the ability to perform regular lifting. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Transport materials from receiving to storage areas and vice versa.
- Assist with order picking, staging, and preparing shipments.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on forklifts and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper PPE usage and safe lifting practices.
- Keep accurate records of material movements and inventory.
- Support the logistics team with various warehouse tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience as a forklift operator.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory control.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
