We are seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role is fundamental to the accuracy and efficiency of our warehouse logistics. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for the complete cycle of receiving goods, including unloading, inspecting for damage and discrepancies, and accurately documenting all incoming inventory. Your attention to detail will be critical in maintaining up-to-date inventory records and ensuring seamless integration into our supply chain. We prioritize a safe working environment, and all employees are expected to adhere to stringent safety regulations and utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments efficiently and safely.
- Inspect all delivered goods for damage, shortages, or overages.
- Accurately record received items into the company's inventory management system.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Label and stage inventory for put-away or further processing.
- Report any discrepancies or damages immediately to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and move items up to 50 pounds.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and willingness to wear required PPE.
