We are seeking a diligent Material Handler to join our vibrant warehouse team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role is integral to our logistics and supply chain operations, focusing on the efficient movement and storage of materials within the facility. You will be responsible for operating various material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring materials are organized and accessible. A strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and teamwork is expected. We provide a secure and supportive work environment, complete with necessary training and adherence to strict safety protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Ensure materials are properly stacked, organized, and secured.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding material handling and logistics.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar logistics role is a plus.
- Valid forklift certification is desirable.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
