Become a vital part of our distribution center in Indianapolis, Indiana, as a Distribution Center Associate! This role encompasses a variety of essential warehouse functions, including receiving, stocking, order picking, packing, and shipping. You will play a critical role in the efficient movement of goods, ensuring accuracy and timeliness to meet customer demands and support our overall logistics network.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of warehouse duties, including receiving inbound shipments, inspecting goods, and stocking inventory.
- Accurately pick orders using RF scanners or pick sheets and prepare them for shipment.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate shipping materials.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring safe and proper handling of merchandise.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Operate material handling equipment safely, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with inventory management tasks.
- Adhere to all company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all job functions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and basic logistics principles.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment is a plus.
Requirements:
This role requires physical stamina, including frequent lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. A strong focus on safety is non-negotiable, and adherence to all safety protocols, including the use of PPE, is mandatory. Efficiency and accuracy are key to our logistics success. We are looking for motivated individuals with a strong work ethic and the ability to follow instructions precisely. Experience with lifting and handling a variety of goods is beneficial. Contributing to a safe and productive working environment is essential for all team members. A background in distribution or logistics will be advantageous.
