We are hiring an Order Picker for our facility in Durham, North Carolina. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is critical to our logistics operations and requires precision, speed, and a strong commitment to Safety. You will work with a dedicated team to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction. If you have a keen eye for detail and enjoy an active role, this position is for you.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on order lists or scanner readouts.
- Ensure all picked items are correctly identified and match order specifications.
- Pack picked items securely for shipment, maintaining product integrity.
- Transport orders to the packing or shipping station using appropriate equipment.
- Maintain an organized and clean picking area, following all Safety regulations.
- Conduct quality checks on picked items to prevent errors.
- Adhere to all company policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed picking productivity targets.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is advantageous.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting (up to 45 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Understanding of logistics workflow and inventory control.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace Safety.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to wear required PPE, such as safety vests and shoes.
