Our Tampa, Florida location is looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our busy logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials and products throughout the warehouse using a forklift. Your proficiency in operating various types of forklifts and your commitment to safety are crucial for maintaining smooth operations and preventing accidents. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Inspect forklift equipment daily and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Safely transport inventory to and from designated areas, ensuring accuracy and minimizing damage.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and securely.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away and retrieval of stock.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, keeping aisles clear and safe.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Follow all traffic rules and safety regulations within the warehouse.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck).
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory flow.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
