As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for efficiently locating and retrieving items from warehouse shelves using RF scanners or pick lists, verifying product details, and preparing them for packing and shipment. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, requiring physical stamina, accuracy, and a strong commitment to safety. You'll be working in a dynamic environment where efficiency and precision are paramount. We provide thorough training on equipment and procedures, emphasizing safe work practices, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products according to customer orders using RF scanners or pick sheets.
- Verify item numbers, descriptions, and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Stage picked items for the packing and shipping departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper PPE usage.
- Operate pallet jacks or other basic warehouse equipment as needed.
- Report any inventory discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
- Participate in regular inventory checks.
- Demonstrate and apply safe lifting techniques for all items.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse work is beneficial.
- Ability to read and understand product labels and order details.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Capability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and PPE requirements.
