Overview
Assembly is seeking a Director, Programmatic to lead client-facing programmatic strategy and execution, while managing and mentoring a team of traders. Reporting to the VP, Programmatic, this role is focused on delivering day-to-day excellence across campaigns, supporting team development, and contributing to the growth of the programmatic discipline within the agency. The Director will work closely with internal teams and clients to ensure performance goals are met, strategies are innovative, and opportunities for growth are consistently identified .

Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day management of programmatic campaigns across a portfolio of key clients, with support from the trading team.
  • Develop strategic and innovative media recommendations aligned with client objectives .
  • Oversee campaign implementation, performance evaluation, and optimization across all programmatic dimensions.
  • Ensure KPIs are being met and proactively identify areas for improvement or growth.
  • Collaborate with traders to troubleshoot issues and ensure campaign quality and accuracy.
  • Support cross-channel integration opportunities and contribute to broader media strategy.
  • Communicate the value of programmatic capabilities, technologies, and partnerships to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions to promote innovation and continuous learning.
  • Stay current on platform features and best practices for activation, measurement, and optimization.
  • Collaborate with platform, inventory, and data partners to develop and refine targeted media programs.
  • Oversee campaign QA and setup processes within DSPs.
  • Support the development of process standards and train team members on execution best practices.
  • Mentor junior team members, fostering growth in campaign management, communication, and strategic thinking.
