We\'re on the hunt for an individual with a genuine passion for team development and experience in coaching high-performance teams. At the core of our mission is a vibrant and forward-thinking approach, helping people adopt sustainable transportation through electric vehicles. Your role? To lead one of our EV sales teams, driving growth of our Salary Sacrifice product and strengthening our business relationships. Your team will embody Octopus Electric Vehicles, acting as frontline experts and advocates for customers embracing the benefits of our Octopus EV Salary Sacrifice scheme. This position offers an uncapped commission structure, a generous car allowance, and an inspiring office environment located in Weybridge, where you\'ll be stationed 2-3 days a week. What we do. What you\'ll do
Leadership and Team Development
Lead and drive your sales team to achieve outstanding results Coach, train and develop your team to improve their sales skills and performance metrics Drive a healthy team culture through regular 1:1s, coaching sessions, team meetings, PDPs and goal setting Strive for individual and team success, fostering a collaborative environment; ensure teams are customer-focused, high-energy, and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing business environment Learn quickly, adapt to different personalities, and bring out the best in your team Thrive in getting things done and completing projects and tasks ahead of schedule
Sales Expertise
Leverage your experience in running successful sales teams, ensuring excellence in both public-facing and B2B2C sales skills and methodologies Manage sales pipelines from lead generation to delivery, setting and exceeding targets Possess strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions Create insightful reports with actionable feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement
Recruitment and Growth
Recruit and lead a team of high-performing EV Experts Forecast team performance and implement strategies and plans for long term success
Customer Service
Ensure outstanding customer service, recording customer satisfaction, and sharing best practices across the sales teams Oversee quality assurance, ensuring compliance with FCA guidelines Guarantee top-quality service delivery at all times, maintaining a high standard of customer experience
Collaboration and Best Practices
Collaborate with other Sales Team Managers to share best practices Work with cross-functional teams to iterate propositions and materials for the B2B/B2C market Think holistically, considering the impact of decisions on wider teams and the overall business Embrace change and thrive on challenges
What you\'ll need
Previous B2B or B2B2C sales management experience A proven track record managing large teams with different skill sets in a phone-based environment Extensive knowledge of sales methodologies, principles and practices with the ability to lead, coach, and develop successful teams Experience working in a growth environment with an adaptable mindset to excel in an ever-changing business environment A self-starter attitude with the ability to think independently, get things done and complete tasks ahead of schedule Strong time management, communication and interpersonal skills Car industry knowledge would be preferred but not essential Genuine passion for electric vehicles / energy and decarbonisation Passion for delivering excellent customer service and a drive for going above and beyond for our customers
