As part of its exiting and progressive change agenda, our client is migrating its key systems to a multi-vendor API driven microservices model. As a DevOps Engineer, you will work to architect, develop and administer these systems across the Azure estate. You will use your management, deployment, and monitoring skills to strike the perfect balance to achieve both speed and reliability. Your key responsibilities will be To deploy and manage multiple integrated systems To manage web and database components of several applications. Troubleshoot infrastructure and network issues that affect multiple business functions. Design and deploy Azure data protection features. Work cross departmentally, managing our clients infrastructure partner teams. Design and monitor high performing, secure virtual networks that can handle high levels of performance and workload. Discover and deploy best in class cloud based solutions. Monitor and then communicate the methods that best support the deployment of applications and infrastructure. About you.
Ideally, we are looking for an Azure DevOps Engineer who will offer: An appetite for knowledge and a passion for how technology & cloud innovation can bring advantage and new opportunity. Technical leadership experience that spans complex integration projects. Ability to work without top-down leadership. A strong team ethic The ability to multi task and juggle many projects simultaneously. A clear and empathetic communication style. Your technical expertise should include an understanding or knowledge of some / most of the following. Windows and Linux operating systems administration IaaS experience IP Subnetting, Network security Groups, routing, Azure firewall, load balancing, DNS Database technologies relational and non relational Some coding or scripting skills (any of - C#, java, python, powershell) A familiarity with the Atlassian toolset (Jira/Confluence) Azure certifications and accreditations are desirable but not essential Some experience of working within the financial services / fintech sector again is desirable but not essential The benefits.
