POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Scheduler role involves implementing established project controls policies and procedures. The Project Scheduler will be primarily responsible for the assessment of contractor schedules for progress and good schedule practice and the integration of contactor schedule changes and progress into the master. Additionally, the Project Scheduler will assist the Schedule Manager in the development of KPIs and Metrics related to schedule reporting. Finally, the Project Scheduler is responsible to support the month-end update cycle by compiling and updating reports, charts, and graphics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Weekly/Monthly Schedule Assessment

  • Evaluation of contractor weekly updates for integrity and feasibility of the Longest Path for each subcontractor / Bridge.
  • Execution and publication of schedule quality checks and reports utilizing established procedures.
  • Preparation of the monthly schedule construction review reports for all bridges.
  • Preparation of weekly layouts and reports for use by Project Teams.
  • Preparation of other reports and layouts as needed by project stakeholders.

Monthly Schedule Progress Integration

  • Update of the Master Project Schedule with data from the Subcontractor's files utilizing established practices and processes.
  • Validation of data imports to ensure the master schedule is consistent with contractor updates
  • Update of tables and graphics for use in reporting from schedule data
  • Narrative reporting development as needed

Primavera P6 Database Maintenance

  • Continuous monitoring for consistent application of activity codes, calendars, and other project specific data sets
  • Management of schedule baselines
  • Quarterly Database cleanup of accumulated schedules, UDFs, baselines, and other fields

Other

  • Additional tasks will be assigned by the Schedule Manager or Project Controls manager as needed.

REPORTING

EDUCATION, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related fields.
  • And a minimum of 2-5 years of experience in Schedule control, Heavy Civil construction, or related industry.
  • OR 5+ years of experience in Schedule control for Heavy Civil construction, or related industry
  • Advanced Primavera P6 knowledge, including cost and resource loading
  • PowerBI skills are preferred
  • Ability to self-prioritize and self-start projects and task work
  • Ability to effectively multi-task similar activities in a fast paced, time sensitive environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Advanced verbal, written and presentation communication skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods.
  • Requires driving occasionally for up to 2-5 hours.
  • Minimum physical exertion such as walking, lifting, standing for long periods, bending, or reaching may be required.
  • Requires visual ability to perform tasks: preparing and analyzing data, plans, drawings, outlines, viewing a computer, and extensive reading.
  • Requires the ability to physically operate standard office equipment i.e., laptop, phone, keyboard, mouse, etc.
