About

The mission of the Case Manager is "Helping Children and Families to be Victors."

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assure therapeutic case management needs of clients are met and maintained in accordance with best

clinical practices, WHS policies and procedures, State Licensing regulations, and accreditation standards.

  • Document and maintain daily records, logs, and produce all court related documentation as required by

funding agencies, licensing, and accreditation standards.

  • Coordinates and provides appropriate evidence-based programming for clients.
  • Work with all staffing teams to discuss any and all matters necessary to ensure not only proper

communication between shifts and departments, but also best evidence-based practices and support for
clients.

  • Conducts group counseling sessions in accordance with program curriculum.
  • Consistently uses CBT language to model for teens and colleagues and promote consensual language

for understanding teens' experiences.

  • Conducts various training programs and weekly team meetings with personnel.
  • Encourage staff to progress through the CBT Endorsement Process.
  • Author within scheduled timelines all client service plans, court reports in collaboration with the treatment

team, and provide back-up for weekly case summaries as required by agency standards and funding
sources.

  • Effectively provide information to all involved team members through written and verbal communication.
  • Maintain positive control of the program therapeutic environment and report any discrepancies or risk

areas to supervisors verbally and written and make reports of any problems or incidents as required.

  • Observe behavior and maintain control of a group, responding to various crisis situations appropriate to

treatment plans of clients and families; role modeling the use of client-centered interventions.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in WHS technology platforms and applications.
  • Participate/attend and complete all required contractual, licensing, and agency training successfully.
  • Function as a mandated reporter, as required by Michigan Child Protection Law.
  • Attend all required meetings.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

USUAL TIME INVOLVEMENT
Full Time: This is a non-exempt position.

REPORTS TO
Residential Therapist – Clinical Supervisor

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in a Human Behavioral Science from an accredited college or university

or another major with 25% of credits in Human Behavioral Sciences required.

  • Achieve Level 1 Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) endorsement.
  • Completion of Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) seminar provided by the agency, with ability to apply

and perform CPI techniques.

  • Obtain all agency and licensing required training.
  • Valid Michigan driver and chauffeur license or ability to obtain chauffeur license.
