Duties
- Assist with the installation of plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances on construction sites
- Support the reading and interpretation of blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate system setup
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, threading, and assembling pipes
- Help with welding tasks and pipe threading to ensure secure connections and system integrity
- Participate in remodeling, maintenance, and repair projects by supporting skilled tradespeople
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency on-site
- Follow safety protocols diligently while working with HVAC components, plumbing fixtures, and construction materials
Experience
- Basic knowledge of construction practices and familiarity with construction site environments
- Experience or coursework related to plumbing or mechanical systems is a plus
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, or carpentry is desirable
- Ability to read basic blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude with an interest in learning HVAC systems and pipe threading techniques
- Prior maintenance person or remodeling experience can be advantageous but is not required
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe fitting and system layout
