Operations Manager – Healthcare

Location: Toronto, ON (North York and surround area)
Salary Range: $79,500 – $81,000 annually
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Must be flexible to adjust schedule as operationally required)

Position Overview

Allied Universal, a global leader in Security Services, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager – Healthcare to lead and oversee security operations within a highly regulated healthcare environment for the region of North York and surround area.

This role is responsible for the end-to-end operational performance of a complex healthcare security program, including personnel leadership, compliance management, and client engagement. The successful candidate will bring proven experience managing security teams in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or similarly regulated environments, with the ability to uphold strict compliance standards while delivering exceptional service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for multiple locations, healthcare security services, including security professionals and supervisory personnel
  • Ensure strict compliance with healthcare regulations, site-specific protocols, and Allied Universal policies and standards
  • Oversee staffing models, scheduling, payroll submissions, and coverage for vacancies, absences, vacations, and special assignments
  • Conduct routine and unannounced site inspections to ensure adherence to post orders, regulatory requirements, and performance expectations
  • Lead recruitment initiatives, including interviewing, screening, onboarding, and training of security personnel
  • Investigate incidents and ensure accurate, timely, and comprehensive reporting
  • Act as a primary operational liaison between Allied Universal leadership and healthcare stakeholders to support service excellence and contract compliance
  • Deliver performance evaluations, coaching, corrective actions, and employee development plans
  • Coordinate and facilitate site-specific training and ongoing professional development initiatives
  • Provide leadership during emergency situations and after-hours operational issues as required
  • Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism, safety, and continuous improvement

Healthcare / Regulated Site Requirements

Due to the regulated nature of the healthcare environment, proof of vaccination is required for client access, including:

  • Diphtheria
  • Pertussis
  • Tetanus
  • Influenza
  • Covid (two vaccinations)

Additional vaccinations may be required in the future in accordance with client requirements or public health guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 2–5 years of direct management experience leading security or operational teams within healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other regulated environments
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Valid Ontario G-Class Driver's License with a clean driving record
  • High School Diploma or GED required (post-secondary education preferred)
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Working knowledge of security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarm systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and incident reporting platforms
  • Standard First Aid (or willingness to obtain; reimbursement provided)
