  • Maintain clear and accurate documentation, including daily reports and incident logs
  • Facilitate participation in social, recreational, educational, and community-based programs
  • Maintain a clean, structured, and safe home environment

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in DSW, SSW, CYC, Psychology, or a related field (required)
  • Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, ASD, dual diagnosis, or mental health needs—preferably in residential care
  • Willingness and availability to work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule
  • Strong documentation, observation, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with behavioural intervention strategies and person-centered approaches

Required Certifications & Documents

  • Standard First Aid & CPR Level C (required)
  • UMAB (3-day Crisis Intervention Training) or willingness to obtain
  • Vulnerable Sector Check (completed within the past 12 months or willingness to obtain)
  • Up-to-date immunization records, including at least 2 doses of COVID-19 vaccine, and a recent TB test

Core Competencies

  • Compassionate and respectful approach to care
