Summary

LaValley Industries is growing This is a new full time opportunity in our production assembly department. The main task of the position is the assembly and repair of the LaValley family of products including the assembly of subcomponents and associated parts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs manufacturing production and repair tasks for various LaValley Industries' products. Position also supports the following areas: assembly, testing, warranty and field support.
  • Assembly, testing and repair of various DECKHAND, TONGHAND and other related product components.
  • Check and verify component quality.
  • Create and follow assembly/repair work instructions and quality control plans.
  • Use problem solving techniques to understand, diagnose and repair products.
  • Uses computers and specialized manufacturing software to track and manage production/repair orders.
  • Responsible to meet hourly/daily production goals.
  • Responsible for continuous process improvements for greater efficiency.
  • Housekeeping in assembly, repair area and entire facility.
  • Attaches rope or grappling equipment to work pieces to prepare workpiece for moving by crane or jib.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Qualifications

  • Must be able to read specifications and interpret, and use documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Must possess the interpersonal communication skills needed to work with other teams or production areas.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, measuring, and use of fractions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Capable of self-checking for completeness and accuracy of work produced.
  • Skill in using hand tools.
  • Regular and consistent attendance is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

Language Skills

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
