About
Import Autowerks
Service Advisor
Quincy, MA
Import Autowerks is a German and EV specialist that was built as the opposite of a dealership. The owner walked away from a big BMW store when the culture went corporate and impersonal, and opened a shop where people actually matter: the team, the customers, and the families behind them.
Fifteen years later, the shop is busy, stable, and trusted by BMW, Mini, Mercedes and Tesla drivers all over Quincy. Now the team is looking for a service advisor who wants to grow into the role, not just fill a seat.
You'll be part of a small team that backs each other up. The schedule is planned the night before so the day feels controlled, not chaotic. The vibe is professional but relaxed: get the work done, have real conversations, go home on time.
You can expect:
- A Monday through Friday schedule, 8 to 5, with your weekends protected
- Flat weekly salary plus performance incentives on weekly closed sales, parts gross profit and ARO
- Health insurance with 50 percent paid for individuals and 30 percent for families
- PTO that builds
- Paid lunch every weekday and a break area stocked with snacks
- A simple life insurance plan
- Modern tools that keep you organized: Shop-Ware, DVIs, iPads, PCs and a clean workflow
On top of that, the shop invests in training and mindset. At least 10 hours of paid training a year, leadership and management classes if you want them, and a clear path to grow into higher responsibility. Advisors are encouraged to think like leaders, not order takers.
What you'll be doing
This role is all about taking care of people and keeping the day moving smoothly. Your day will look something like this:
- Greet customers with a genuine hello, a handshake and a calm, professional presence
- Listen to what they are experiencing and turn that into clear repair orders
- Communicate with the technicians so cars move through the day on schedule
- Use digital vehicle inspections to explain work in a way that builds trust, not pressure
- Help customers prioritize work and plan future visits so they feel in control
- Follow up, answer questions and be part of the 80 percent client retention the shop already enjoys
Experience and who you are
You do not need previous service advisor experience. The team is ready to train someone who has the right attitude and people skills. You might have come from retail, hospitality, call centers or any customer-facing job where you learned how to listen and stay organized.
You'll be a great fit if you:
- Communicate clearly, in person and on the phone
- Take accountability seriously and are willing to learn
- Enjoy solving problems and connecting with people
- Like planning ahead and keeping the day on track
- Are comfortable with basic tech and open to learning new systems
- Care about honesty, growth and being part of a drama-free team
The owner constantly reminds the team that family comes first. Time off for kids' activities, real vacations and life outside the shop is encouraged, not judged. Feedback is welcomed, monthly meetings are a place to "spill" what needs to be fixed, and good ideas from the team actually get put into practice.
If you've been looking for a place where you can grow into a professional advisor, be heard, and still have a life outside of work, Import Autowerks would like to meet you.
