Duties

• Assist with food preparation and meal assembly to ensure timely service
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment
• Support chefs and cooks with basic cooking tasks under supervision
• Handle food safely by following proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
• Prepare ingredients such as chopping vegetables or portioning ingredients for dishes
• Ensure all food items are stored correctly and inventory is kept up-to-date
• Support catering events or special functions with food setup and service assistance

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and knife skills
• Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key
• Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude towards supporting kitchen staff
• Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, standing for long periods, and cleaning
• Culinary experience or background in the food industry is a plus but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
