About the Tech Program Intern job What you’ll do on a typical day: Learn how various cybersecurity teams work, from security engineering to cyber intelligence and everything in between Gain hands-on experience with network, edge and endpoint protection tools; learn how these events are correlated into a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) program and how we leverage vulnerability data and cyber intelligence to find and remediate potential issues Learn all aspects of a security organization while collaborating with security engineers, Security Operation Center (SOC) analysts, incident responders, forensics analysts, the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and more Participate in the day-to-day health monitoring and security engineering operations as they troubleshoot XPO’s security tool stack Participate in reporting metrics, writing technical documentation and learning to utilize cutting-edge enterprise-level security tools to hunt threats Learn and participate in the core functionality of each team that you work with Escalate alerts, issues and incidents to the appropriate teams Become familiar with Next Generation Protection (firewalls, endpoint), how to use an SIEM, writing and following security processes, vulnerability scanning tools and cyber intelligence tools
